To check which server you are downloading from you should be able to see the link in your download window. If you are indeed pulling it from a freecache, it will start out with http://freecache....
If not, it will be http://etree, or http://movies.. etc..

Ah thanks, my d/l manager (in Mozilla) wasn't set up to view that by default- it's set now! Much easier to see what's happening.

Gin Blossoms 2003 test item's coming from freecache.dsi.internet2.edu at a tasty ~200 K/s, no speed probs there. :)
